Here's What's up
A list of general good things to know before submitting an application here!
-
A great way to let people know what your characters look like is a faceclaim. That's an actor-- or other recognizable face-- used to represent your OC. If you don’t use one, give us a brief physical description. All faceclaims should be over 18, and all applications should include either a faceclaim or a physical description-- otherwise, it won't be accepted.
-
You should hear back from me within a week on whether or not your app's been accepted. If you don't hear back after seven days, it's safe to assume it's been declined. Feel free to apply again, however-- If it's declined again, I'll try to get back to you with a reason.
-
When your app is accepted, I'll send you a friend request on Discord. If you don't accept it, I can't invite you!
-
There's this helpful little utility that we use to manage characters known as Tupperbox. If you've made alternate Discord accounts for your OCs in the past, please list your main Discord username in your application.
-
Apps are always open, and there's no character limit! Once your first OC is accepted, you're free to submit more apps as you please-- just so long as you can juggle them all. We would hate to have a valuable role become inactive.
-
There will be combat in this server! This means the potential for injuries, blood, and gore, depending on how players wish to write. If you have any specific triggers, even other than gore-related, feel free to post them in the "triggers" channel, or consult me-- I'd be happy to make them known anonymously.
-
This server will be primarily multi-paragraph roleplay, but there will be "quick rp" channels for more fast-paced or shorter interactions.
-
Please, please try to use your best spelling and grammar in your application, and in the server! When chatting out of character, I'm certainly no stickler, but any in-character interactions should be written to the best of your ability. It makes it look and read nicer!
RULES
-
This server is 18+.
-
Faceclaims should be actors, musicians, comedians... Let's stay away from web personalities (Youtubers, twitch streamers, etc) or social media influencers.
-
Absolutely no hate speech of any kind will be tolerated. You don't get three strikes, there's no grace period-- just be kind to one another.
-
Respect other players' boundaries and triggers. If you're about to do something you think could be questionable, at least DM them first and hash it out.
-
If you're writing something that could potentially touch on someone's trigger, mark it and put it under a spoiler tag.
-
No metagaming or god-modding. Stick to what your character knows, not what you know, when playing.
-
If you want to make something game-changing happen, either to another player's character or the server at large, consult the responsible parties first. I'll gladly hear out plot suggestions, and probably try to make things happen.
-
As mentioned above, please use your best grammar and spelling. If you've read all these rules, include the words "plane train" at the end of your application. Proofreading is encouraged, as sending a post over and over to fix mistakes can hurt RP flow.
-
No smut in the server, please. Not everyone has the same definition of this, but use your best judgement-- if things are heating up, fade to black. Take it to DMs, if you want to-- but let's try to keep the RP above-the-belt.
